Enough of classic this and classic that. As the end of the year (and that means parties!) draws nearer, sometimes we just want to be a little excessive, a little self indulgent, and maybe even a little more over-the-top.

Here, we have curated three decidedly un-classic designer launches this month that will feed your craving for  just that.

Private vintage Versace collection for sale

Two London-based retailers - the online Farfetch, and William Vintage, the world’s most beautiful haute couture vintage store - have teamed up to release 500 pieces from one of Italy’s greatest designers. That designer is Gianni Versace, who died 20 years ago after being shot outside his home.

The collection, releasing on Oct 10, spans 20 years of his work: from his early pieces of 1977 to those from his final F/W 1997 show. It includes rare and important designs from some of Versace’s most iconic seasons, including the Warhol-inspired “Pop” collection of 1991, the “Bondage” collection of F/W 1992, and the “Punk” collection of S/S 1994.

“Emojis” for Longchamp’s Pliage

It’s the same as ever - and just as useful - but this season, the French brand’s famous foldable bag is also super fun. That’s because you now have the option of dressing the latest Pliages (there are three) with 14 cute prints that go on via snap fasteners. Price: $1,100 for the bag + three prints.

Real jewellery that’s as fun as costume ones

Alessandro Michele’s fondness for vintage-y accessories for Gucci has now extended to a collection of fine jewellery. Called Le Marche des Merveilles, it’s in 18K gold and sterling silver, with precious stones and coloured enamel, and its big feature is big cats. From $2,120 for a ring.
