What do you get when the Creative Director of Bottega Veneta and fast-moving fashion brand Uniqlo get together for a capsule collection? Casual luxe – at a more affordable price.

Yes, it was recently announced that Uniqlo and Tomas Maier will be launching a resort collection that will be available at selected stores and on its e-commerce site early summer.

Maier will be injecting his influence into the LifeWear range that is known for its apparel created with the mission to “make life better”.

“The concept of my brand is based on simple, yet sophisticated designs. tomas maier is all about clothes for time off – a way for people to enjoy a much-needed escape from some of the complexities of modern living. I am confident that we were able to incorporate UNIQLO’s remarkable technologies and expertise successfully into our collaboration line, which I hope can help people to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life,” Maier said in a statement.

Based on Maier’s previous work, we can expect lots of fine cotton and linen.

And since previous Uniqlo collabs with the likes of Jil Sander, Christopher Lemaire and JW Anderson were pretty successful, we hope this pairing doesn’t disappoint.
