Last year, Pinko started a long-term partnership with Treedom. The latter, a company in Florence, Italy, specialises in planting fruit trees (for a one-time fee) for anyone who wants to do the green and good thing – reducing CO2 while giving farmers in different parts of the world sustainable work and crops. The fashion brand now has approximately 10,000 trees in its Pinko Forest in Kenya, with varieties ranging from macadamia to avocado.

To grow even more trees, Pinko and designer Stella Jean have collaborated on a capsule of 10 t-shirts and 10 skirts inspired by Masai culture. Shown during Milan Fashion Week in February this year, the  #stellajeanpinkotreedom clothes are made of organic cotton and printed with watercolours, a more eco-friendly medium than, say, laser printing.

Shop below for the five tee designs are available in SG at Pinko’s Ion Orchard flagship store (#03-21). For every tee you buy, Treedom will plant a tree in your name in Pinko Forest. You can track its growth at www.treedom.net/en/.

What is Treedom?

For a one-time fee of as little as €12.90 (S$20) or a membership of €9.90 (S$15) a month, anyone can enlist Treedom and its farmers to plant fruit trees to offset CO2 emissions. This also provides environmental, social and financial benefits to farming communities around the world. The trees listed on Treedom’s website are chosen by the farmers as they know what grows best on their land. So far, Treedom has grown more than 500,000 trees in 12 countries.
