“I want to do away with the misconception that women need to spend a lot to look good,” says founder of Sartorial Me, Natalie Tan, 30. “Personal styling shouldn’t only be for the rich, nor should you feel compelled to buy everything the stylist picks for you.”

That is why Tan - inspired by overseas fashion-tech start-ups - launched Sartorial Me, an online site that links stylists and users, to help time-strapped women here put together looks with less effort. “I saw the huge market of professional women who don’t know how to shop online efficiently, or have the means but not the time to shop at physical retail stores.

Sartorial Me’s premise is simple: A local stylist curates and compiles outfits from three established online retailers - Asos, BNKR, and Luisa Via Roma - into a personalised lookbook for you. You are not obligated to buy anything, but for each item that you do buy via Sartorial Me, it receives a commission, the bulk of which goes to the stylist who recommended the piece.

How Sartorial Me works:

  • Answer questions relating to your size, style, budget, lifestyle and concerns.
  • Pick a stylist from up to three choices that its algorithm matches you with. The stylists’ profiles and Instagrams will be available to you.
  • The site then connects you to your chosen stylist. Communication between the two of you can be via e-mail, Whatsapp, or phone calls.
  • You’ll receive a personalised lookbook with three to four outfits within 72 hours.
  • Every click on any of the looks leads you to the product pages of the retailers - Asos, BNKR and Luisa Via Roma - that Sartorial Me has partnered with. Add item/s into the Wishlist on Sartorial Me if you do not intend to purchase the item/s immediately. Use the Shopping Cart if you want to first consolidate products from different retailers.
  • Sartorial Me also serves as a platform for aspiring stylists to gain experience. Contact the site if you’d like to offer your styling services.

As the site has not been officially launched yet, visit and leave your email address to be notified first when it goes live.
