British actress Gemma Cham and local model-actress Fiona Xie took our breath away at the Singapore premiere of the romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians.” In the movie, Astrid Leong is undeniably the most stylish character.
Her taste is simply impeccable – how could we forget the cheongsam she wore to the wedding of the year? Gemma who plays Astrid in the movie, has a sense of style that can pass off as Astrid’s even off-screen. Here’s an example to prove our point.
The “Humans” star showed off her lengthy legs in a stylish blazer dress, styled with a pair of black pointed heels. The blazer dress is great for the warm weather (while still offering some coverage), is office appropriate, but can also be dressed up for an after-work tipple, and it feels way fresher than yet another wrap or shift dress.
While Gemma suited up for the event, Fiona sizzled in a diaphanous figure-flattering number with delicate sheer detailing and well-placed star applique.

Judging from the local actress’s outfit, there’s one rule to pulling off the monochromatic trend. Find your favourite separates in the same colour and wear them together. Next, add in accessories for a pop of colour if you wish. Otherwise, an all-black outfit like this one seen on Jayley looks great too.

The oversized checkered blazer has become one of the hardest working pieces in the fashion-savvy woman’s wardrobe. To get maximum mileage of your outerwear, follow in Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh’s lead and match your blazer with a pleated midi skirt. Fashion loves a contradiction, so offset the tailored overtones of your blazer by layering it over something completely different like a flowy dress or a skirt. To keep things elevated, throw in a polished purse and heels.

Liu Wen matched her high-waist pants with a striped tunic, cinched it at her waist with a ribbon of the same print.
