Oh. It’s you again. You creep up on us week in, week out, looming over our heads and staring until we give in and confront you. Then you proceed to destroy our peaceful Sunday evening and force us to order coffee before 9am. Yes, we’re talking to you Monday. Oh how we dread you, sometimes.
But wait a cotton picking second...we can’t ever run from Monday, nor Tuesday and we certainly can’t avoid hump day - so why don't we embrace the work week instead? Of course we all prefer #TGIF to #MondayMotivation, but given that we do all need such motivation, here’s something to give you a nudge in the positive direction.
Dressing to impress doesn’t just charm others - it has positive effects on yourself too. You’ll feel more ready to kick Monday’s butt if you look good and feel good. You’ll also feel 10x better if you're off to a good start, knowing exactly what you’ll be wearing and happy with such sartorial choices. We’re aiming for a stress-free working work, at least where your closet is concerned. We cannot speak for your workload and bosses though, more’s the pity.

Crepe blouse $59.90
Nicholas Kirkwood Lola pearl sandals $1,027
Sterling silver wishbone stud earrings $23.90
Monday needs two things: A lot of coffee and a sharp power suit. To strip yourself off your post-weekend laziness, dressing as you mean business will force you into a similar mindset. Pants or a tailored skirt - it doesn't matter, as long as it matches your blazer you're good to go. Wear with a white skirt of light blouse and some heels for severe girl boss vibes.
Free people Jumpsuit/one piece US$98,00
Long-sleeved top $34.95
Proenza Schouler woven leather and raffia mules $572.15

Tuesday is our slightly less formal day, where we've still got back to back meetings but we're more settled into work mode. For quick and easy mornings, step into a jumpsuit or dungarees (not denim though) with a playful top underneath. If the air con in the office is chilly, you can even rock a turtleneck underneath. Add some chunky mules and you're ready for the day.

If you really do want some Wednesday wisdom, dress comfortably. Nothing is going to make hump day worse, except an extra pile of work on your desk and painful shoes or a too-tight dress. Therefore we've opted for a feminine floaty top, a stretchy pencil skirt (can switch up for A-line or maxi if you so desire) and some flat shoes.
T by Alexander Wang t-shirt dress $175
Anya Hindmarch handbag US$ 950,00
Sock style ankle boot details $99.90
Rosantica Fortuna gold-tone necklace US$170.89
Oh how we heart Thursdays. Yes, they are the days we can post old photos of fun times gone by but they're also that one step closer to our precious weekends. We're winding down with our mindset and our style - so we suggest a nice baggy t-shirt style dress that you can wear loose or cinch in with a waist belt. Add some embellished or bright chunky ankle boots and a statement necklace to complete the look.
TD true Decadence short dress US$154,00
Christian Louboutin sandals US$750,00
Jacquard-patterned shoes $64.95
Bow-embellished vinyl shoulder bag $353.90
Semi Circle Link pom drop earrings $19.90
Nialaya Jewelry panther ring $221
TGIF is the best feeling ever - especially when you've got exciting evening plans. To make the transition from work-mode to 'let's get drinks' mode easier, we slay with a dress that can be worn both in the office and after too. For the day time, wear flat pumps or brogues and then slip into your sexy stilettos. Add your favourite statement clutch and accessories and you're ready for whatever the night brings. Let's hope it brings cold cocktails and hot men.
