Francis Kurkdjian

You might not know the man behind the scent but chances are, you might actually have come across, or even own some of his fragrance creations. Master Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian who launched his career by signing his first fragrance Le Mâle to Jean Paul Gautier in 1995, has designed top-selling fragrance masterpieces such as Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile, Emanuel Ungaro, Lancôme Miracle Homme, Guerlain Rose Barbare, and Christian Dior Eau Noire, just to name a few.

Named one of France’s greatest perfumers by the French Ministry of Culture in 2009, the celebrated nose of the fragrance industry set up his own perfume house, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, in the same year in Paris.

Just last year in 2011, Singapore got her first whiff of Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrances at Escentials’ stores in Paragon, Tangs Orchard and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

Besides Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s best selling Aqua Universalis EDT that retails at $300 for 200ml, you can indulge in a complete sensorial journey with Maison Francis Kurkdjian scented leather bracelets, and my personal favourites – scented bubbles and incense paper.

Join Francis Kurkdjian for cocktails at a casual get together tomorrow, July 24 from 6:30pm to 8pm at Escentials Paragon. Purchase any Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrance tomorrow and you can get it signed by Kurkdjian himself. For more information or to RSVP, call 6737 2478.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian is available from Escentials Paragon #03-02/05 290 Orchard Road; Escentials Tangs Orchard, Tangs Beauty Hall Level 1; and Escentials The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, #B1-142 2 Bayfront Avenue.
