When the December holidays are coming and a trip to a colder climate doesn’t cut it for you, you might be tempted to head to an equally tropical country, but with better beaches. That’s where local label MAHCollection (MAH stands for Mad About Hue) comes in with their latest collection of beachwear staples.

A chiffon dress with intricate prints to be worn on all your overseas adventures, brunch, work (if you’re in a cool environment…or a co-working space) and even when you’re bathing a horse.

Inspired by Botticelli’s Birth of Venus (yup, that naked Roman woman in a half shell), the collection is as feminine as it’s functional: chiffon (wicks away heat), intricate pleats (wear it to Bali and when you’re back, the office) and features hand-beaded embellishments.  Not just content with dressing you in clothing, MAHCollection has also launched accessories: gold-plated cuffs with a printed leather applique, skinny beaded scarves (very boho chic, very good solution for bad hair days) and Moroccan-inspired lambskin slippers.

The resort must-have: a maxi cover-up. Ondina likes her made in 100% silk with a mosaic Peranakan-tile inspired print.

You’re going to need a bag when you’re scaling trees or less-tough activities like a night out with your friends. For the first time in six years, MAHCollection is doing them in sumptuous Italian leather with inner pocket and detachable tassel.

The MAHCollection “Venus in the Shell” collection is now available online as well as at their showroom: 7 Grange Road, 239496 which opens on Wednesday from 11am-10pm. All other days are by appointment only.
