It is confirmed. The three Kate Spade Saturday stores in Singapore are expected to close this year, in line with the closing of all the stores worldwide. Sorry ladies!
The brand said that this is to allow the company to focus its business on the long-term growth of the Kate Spade New York brand.
Kate spade Saturday first opened in Singapore in October 2013. The vibrant label was distinctive with it’s bold prints and liberal use of sunny yellow on its storefront. Stemming from the concept that Saturday was the best day of the week, Kate Spade Saturday was meant to target a younger audience with casual items at more affordable prices.
But not to worry, some aspects of the Kate Spade Saturday brand will be incorporated into Kate Spade New York to offer customers a wide selection of casualwear offerings.
According to The Straits Times, items from the current collection are being retailed at full price, while selected off-season items are being sold at discounts of up to 50 per cent. Shoppers get an additional 10 per cent when they buy two or more items.
It’s a pity that this Saturday line has to go. Meanwhile, keep an eye open for on mark downs and score some goodies while you still can!
Kate Spade Saturday stores are still located at Ion Orchard #B1-27, Ngee Ann City #B1-27/28/29 and Westgate #01-28.
