John Galliano 'files dispute against Dior'John Galliano is rumoured to have filed a dispute claim against Christian Dior.

The designer was fired from the company last year after he was accused of making racist comments during an argument with a woman in Paris. He was also let go from his eponymous label and was later found guilty of making anti-Semitic remarks.

It has now been reported Galliano is making moves to appeal his firing from Dior.

“It is believed that Galliano has lodged an employee/employer dispute claim for over €15 million (£11.9 million) at the Conseil des Prud’hommes, with a Paris hearing scheduled for February 4, 2013,” reports British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

No further details are known at the moment and Galliano is yet to comment on the report.

The speculation comes shortly after it was announced that the shamed designer has been stripped of his Legion of Honour Award by French President, François Hollande.

The iconic award is handed to people for their services to France, with Marc Jacobs, Yves Saint Laurent and Azzedine Alaïa also receiving it.

Following his court case, Galliano checked into rehab to get help for addictions to alcohol and prescription medication.
