John Galliano causes flutter in LondonJohn Galliano caused “a flutter in the room” when he appeared in London recently.

The disgraced designer has rarely been seen in public since he was sacked from his job at Christian Dior last year.

He was dismissed after he was accused of making racist comments during an argument, and was later found guilty of making anti-Semitic remarks.

John checked into rehab and later explained he has been battling addictions to alcohol and prescription medication.

He has flown under the radar since then, but attended a birthday party for a friend in London recently. “[He] caused quite a flutter in the room,” a source told New York Post.

The bash was in honour of DJ Jeremy Healy, who turned 50. It was held at Mark Hix on Brewer Street, a venue favoured by the city’s cool elite.

“John was quiet and reserved, he was sober and very demure, but there to support his friend,” the insider added.

Although the designer lost his position at Dior around a year ago, no one has taken the role. Marc Jacobs was thought to be the frontrunner for some time, but has announced he wants to stay at Louis Vuitton. © Cover Media
