The Japanese designer beat off competition from eight other finalists to win €300,000 to take his budding label to the next level, as well as benefit from a year-long support program with the luxury conglomerate.
Doublet, a gender-neutral fashion label, was selected as the winner by a star-studded jury including Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Haider Ackermann, Jonathan Anderson, Nicolas Ghesquière, Clare Waight Keller, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie and Sidney Toledano, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LVMH Fashion Group, completed the line-up.

The jury also awarded the “Special Prize” to South Korean designer Rok Hwang’s label Rokh.
The fifth edition of the prestigious LVMH Prize was awarded by actress Emma Stone at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris on June 6. Ino follows in the footsteps of the French designer Marine Serre, who won the prize in 2017.
