You’ve seen the stylish street style snaps of fashionable individuals on The Satorialist, Jak and Jill, Street Peeper and in our very own herworldPLUS street style section. But the public still seems to believe that there’s a lack of stylish people right here in Singapore – more than half of 273 people we asked in a survey felt that Singaporeans were not fashionable.
Here at herworldPLUS we know this is not true! There are plenty of stylish people to rival Chiara Ferragni and Susanna Lau on Orchard Road, and from Tampines to Jurong.

So Singapore, it’s time to prove the naysayers wrong. We are on the search to crown the best-dressed girl and guy in our very first Singapore Street Style Awards and we have faith that you will do us proud.
Here’s how you can join the herworldPLUS Singapore Street Style Awards (SSA). From now until June 22, 2014:
• Follow the herworldPLUS Instagram account and Twitter account. Post your street style picture on Twitter or Instagram and hashtag #sgstreetstyleawards.
• Upload your street style picture to the the Singapore Street Style Awards website at streetstyleawards.herworldplus.com.
Super easy no? Well, the tough task of picking 10 finalists will fall on our team of judges that include stylist extraordinaire Daniel Boey, Her World magazine’s fashion editor Patrick Sin and herworldPLUS editor Niki Bruce.
• 10 finalists (5 girls and 5 guys) will be announced on July 4, 2014 for the public (yes, including the sceptics) to vote for the finalist they think is the most stylish.
• Our judging panel will also choose the most fashionable girl and guy while there are also be special prizes like the Aldo Style Award and Hot FM’s Most Stylish up for grabs.
More than $10,000 worth of prizes are to be won when you take part in the SSA. Flaunt your style loud and proud Singapore! We are waiting to be wowed by your street style!
The herworldPLUS Singapore Streetstyle Awards will be open for submissions in late May, 2014. The top 10 finalists will be announced in late June for public voting and the overall winners will be announced in August, 2014.
