Hermès presented a chic collection with models walking around antique-looking furniture last night.

The label closed the penultimate day of Paris Fashion Week, staging its show at the iconic secondary school, the Lycée Henri-IV. The venue was decorated in keeping with the Fall/Winter 13 line, made to look like an olden day library with expensive-looking furniture dotted around.

Models made their way around the fixtures as they showed off the line, giving it an air of the regal.

The palette was muted, with brown and grey tones prolific. This suited the minimalist approach designer Christophe Lemaire took to the collection, with his use of fur, leather and cashmere ensuring it had a luxurious feel.

Although many of the pieces were classic, they also had a twist; so one of the first looks saw a model wearing a simple white shirt paired with a long, dark green cape and a funnel neck.

Next up was a midi-length grey leather skirt. This featured a simple black belt around the waist and a V-neck grey cashmere sweater, which was tucked in. The coat over the top was dark green and almost felt-looking, with oversized lapels.

Fur has been a staple on all the catwalks, with Hermès using it in large, shaggy coats. Suede has been less of a trend this season, but the tan pencil dress made from the hide looking stunning thanks to its slim cut and long sleeves.
