After making its debut last year at Pedder on Scotts, luxury label, Gabriela Hearst is back once again with a new line of the designer’s accessories to nab. With an extesnive waiting list to boot and a celebrity following including the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Emma Watson, the label is giving first access to its newest designs exclusively to On Pedder customers for a limited time this December.

The luxury designer footwear and accessories boutique is the first retail store in South-east Asia to carry Gabriela Hearst bags outside of its own website, and will be stocking the brand’s Baez bag and gilded Virgina bag, as well as cult classics such as the Nina and Demi.

One of the other unique designs that will be available include the Off to the Races piece — inspired by a music jewellery box and also features enamel horse and jockey figures that gallop around the edge of the bag.

The critically-acclaimed designer founded her eponymous label in 2015 and has since clinched the 2016/17 International Woolmark Prize for Womenswear and the Pratt Institute Fashion Visionary Award in 2018. Currently based in New York, the Uruguayan designer draws inspiration from the family ranch that she grew up on by focusing on tradition, details and conscious consumption.

Gabriela Hearst is probably most known for the Nina Bag — a distinctive round pouch that gently unfolds from a turnlock closure — having been touted as fashion’s It bag for several seasons now. Named after American singer-songwriter and civil rights activist Nina Simone, the Nina Bag is only produced in small quantities, as with the rest of Gabriela Hearst’s bags, in line with the brand’s values of sustainability.

Curious as to what Hearst stores in her own Nina bag? Watch the video below to see her spill her secrets, rave about her undying love for pop artist Lizzo and demonstrate her 30-sec trick to looking hella professional.

Get your hands on one of the limited pieces at the Gabriela Hearst pop-up happening from November 27 to December 31, 2020 at Pedder on Scotts, Scotts Square Level 2, 6 Scotts Road, Singapore 228209.
