How do Hidetoshi Nakata and 16 models – stripped down to their Calvin Klein X Underwear, no less (the models, not Nakata) – inside an industrial warehouse sound to you?
If you answered “sizzling hot”, you’re quite right.
We’re not sure why the air-con seemed to function as a heater that night, but coupled with former Japanese soccer star Nakata and 16 “live” underwear models, the heat was definitely on.
The recent launch of Calvin Klein X Underwear was held at the industrial warehouse at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, which was transformed into a stylish white lounge with the underwear models scattered around the space on red scissor lifts and, in true exhibitionist fashion, behind cage-like fences. The backdrop for the models? Multiple oversized video screens showing the Calvin Klein X Underwear videos, featuring Nakata, American actors Kellan Lutz (who plays Emmett Cullen in Twilight), Mehcad Brooks (who acted in Desperate Housewives and True Blood) and Spanish tennis star Fernando Verdasco.
Nakata, surrounded by his army of bodyguards, wore a Calvin Klein Collection shirt and pants, and a black Calvin Klein Underwear T-shirt. Singapore celebrities spotted at the party included fashion designer Ashley Isham, celebrity show producer Daniel Boey, and artistes Joanne Peh, Dai Yang Tian, Elvin Ng, Irene Ang, Rebecca Tan, Dennis Zhou Cong Qing and Hossan Leong.
