If you’re a true perfume afficianado, the Dior’s classic J’adore is more than likely on your dressing table. Now fans can expand their senses with the October launch in Singapore of J’adore L’Or.

Perfumer-Creator for Dior, François Demachy, took the essential elements of the classic scent and refined them, adding additional embellishment in the form of Rose de Mai Absolute (Centifolia) and a Jasmine Absolute (Grandiflorum), both hand-collected from a estate in the Grasse region of France and exclusive to Dior.

Oriental notes of Tonka Bean, Tahiti Vanilla, Patchouli, Labdanum and amber give J’adore L’Or a “thickness” according to Demachy.

“J’adore L’Or embodies the creative flair and know-how of the Dior House,” he says.

Known for its extremes in elegant indulgence and luxury, Dior had the scent distilled into an Essence de Parfum, one of the most concentrated forms of perfume.

The link to gold, a material The House of Dior has always been partial to, is echoed not only in the deeper shade of the actual scent, but also in the decorative accents on the bottle and packaging.

According to Dior all the new ingredients make the perfume feel “satiny and silky” on the skin as well.

J’adore L’or Essence de Parfum will be available from October 15, and will cost $190 for a 40ml bottle.
