The Zalora Scholarship was first launched in 2015, and it was a huge win, so it’s only logical for it to return again. This year, Zalora will grant six tertiary students from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the opportunity to get industry experience right in the heart of the Zalora offices.

With the love for fashion-meets-function trends quickly rising (think more athleisure and less sports luxe), the theme for the Zalora Scholarship this year is “Function VS Fashion: How the Two Coexist in (Major) Trends Over the Decades” ‒ for example, how activewear industries are becoming more aware of how fitness wear can be more than just working-out clothes.

Zalora urges applicants to get creative in conveying their views on this subject in compelling means in the forms of an essay or infographic. Applicants with the most creative, most pertinent and most innovative entries will definitely be in favour. These entries will also be based on applicants’ analytical skills and academic results.

The Zalora Scholarship is open to all applicants from tertiary institutions that fall under the Zalora Partner Institutions in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The scholarship will be granted to one student per country, and the winner will be given an opportunity to gain valuable insights from the robust e-commerce industry. The worthy applicant from Singapore will be selected as the Zalora Scholar, with a $3,000 sponsorship towards their tuition fee AND an opportunity for a paid internship in May 2017.

All potential Zalora scholars have until July 31, 2016 at 11:59pm (GMT) to impress with their entries. If you have got what it takes to be the Zalora Scholar, head to www.zalora.sg/scholarship for more details and queries are welcomed at scholarship@zalora.com.
