Who said wool jumpers have to be boring and non-descript?
A host of the biggest names in fashion certainly disagree, with Jonathan Saunders, Proenza Schouler and Kenzo all sending models down their Fall/Winter 12 runways in a variety of bold geometric knits.
The look gives woollen wear a more vibrant feel and adds a statement to this wardrobe choice.
Kenzo went for a monochrome take on the trend and paired a busy checked patterned jumper with clashing pieces, including a striped jacket and diamond print pants. The look was a loud one and certainly not for the fashion faint-hearted.
Jonathan Saunders teamed a polo-neck red jumper that was adorned with a white and black geometric print. He teamed the knitwear with a plain black miniskirt so as not to detract from the eye-catching pattern.
Proenza Schouler followed suit, but injected a splash of colour with a burnt orange hue. The luxe label teamed the black graphic-print top with a matching kilt-type skirt.
This look is best kept for daytime because of its casual nature. For the office try slipping a geometric-print round-necked jumper over a plain shirt to add a hint of quirkiness to otherwise plain workwear.
For a day-to-day look, team a bold statement jumper with a pair of skinny jeans and boots for a practical yet stylish take on the trend. – COVER MEDIA
