The colour trend of jewel tones works perfectly for Autumn Winter as the deep hues warm up cool nights and enhance Fall shades. Amber, amethyst, ruby and emerald were all showcased on this season’s runways.

Gucci draped sapphire over their models and trimmed the look with matching faux fur. Proenza Schouler injected blacks and browns with occasional hits of ruby and amber.

There are a number of ways to wear the look. For daytime opt for a small spark of colour in between darker shades. Try layering a bright amber top underneath a black jacket and team with skinny jeans and boots.

Pair the garment with black opaque tights and black heels. Keep accessories to a minimum and make-up natural or the style will become too fussy.
