Roger Vivier’s artistic director Bruno Frisoni is “obsessive” about fashion.

The frontman of the world famous footwear label described how he’s managed to reign at the helm of the label since 2002. The Italian designer believes his perfectionist personality helps him produce classic new bags and shoe designs.

“I think it’s about being consistent, obsessive and making something addictive,” Bruno revealed to British magazine Grazia.

“All fashion to me is about obsession. I always go back to the same things that I truly love – that’s what makes you develop a style instead of just products.”

Bruno’s successful design career was not born from a fancy education. He earned his fashion credentials at Christian Lacroix and collaborated with Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz during his tenure at Saint Laurent. He believes the first lesson to learn when creating desirable shoes and bags is to cultivate an artistic imagination.

“Without fantasy we have nothing. There was no fashion in my education,” he admitted. “I started working young and ruined my education in terms of school. Young people often miss their potential because they are too impatient to go it alone. You have to be humble if you want to learn.” – COVER MEDIA
