Better known for being one of the few “mere mortals” to sport couture clothes straight from the runways, Japan Vogue’s editor-at-large Anna Dello Russo has now styled a “fashion film”.
Starring top model Karolina Kurkova the film features Giorgio Armani Autumn Winter 2011-12 Boudoir collection – all glittering evening gowns, furs and large jewels – and is supposedly inspired by the movies ‘La Notte’ directed by Michelangelo Antonioni and ‘Amanti’ by Vittorio de Sica.
Ms Anna makes a cameo appearance as an elegant lady, as does Giorgio Armani himself; his face is printed on a gown worn by Karolina.
Described as “a film by Anna Dello Russo”, ‘Back Damon’ is, however, directed by Marco Braga and written by Giuliano Federico.
