Anna Dello Russo feels “more of a fashion victim” than a style icon.

The Vogue Japan fashion director described how she came to be known as a super-stylist. The 50-year-old is launching her first high street collection for chain store H&M this week. Despite her growing reputation in the fashion industry, she never feels pressure to maintain her style icon reputation as it comes naturally to her.

“I am probably more of a fashion fanatic, or a fashion victim!” Anna exclaimed to British magazine Look. “I became an icon through the attention I got on the web.”

The outlandish Italian is well known for her coordinated colours and wacky wardrobe choices in her everyday life. It’s no surprise that fashion lover and accessory fan Anna chose to focus her new collection on sunglasses, bracelets, earrings and other bling outfit additions. Anna explained how being fashion forward is a way of life for her.

“I began collecting clothes as a teenager, way before fashion became a profession for me,” Anna explained. “I don’t see it as a job, it’s a lifestyle, something I am totally committed and dedicated to. I never miss a season of shows and try to be informed about everything.” – COVER MEDIA
