If you’ve still not heard of these 5 Singapore fashion designer brands, it’s high time to add them to your wardrobe. From Japanese-inspired dresses, fun co-ords to sleek suits, you’re sure to find a brand to suit your personal style.
See Singapore models Grace Ling (New Paper New Face 2014 finalist) and Nadia Rahmat (yes, that Marc Jacobs girl) in the top Fall Winter 2015 and Cruise 2016 looks we love from these 5 Singapore fashion designer labels that showed at Singapore Fashion Week 2015.

The label’s designer and founder Ong Shunmugam is as known for her cheongsam pieces as her inventive, contemporary take on Asian-inspired fashion. This unusual co-ords set, as seen on Nadia, will be sure to turn heads; that over ‘skirt’ is an inventive take on the on-trend culotte pants. Shunmugam’s knack for prints make its Japanese-inspired dresses like no other.

On Nadia: Crop top, $399 and pants, $499, from Ong Shunmugam. Marilyn Tan brass, silver and gold-plated midi rings, from $350 each from Tangs. Carrie K silver cuff, $270 from She Shops The Online Store. Calf leather and sequin pumps, $83 from Pedro.

On Grace: Dress, $799 from Ong Shunmugam. On her left arm: Carrie K. Marilyn Tan ring, from Tangs Orchard. On her right arm: Marilyn Tan leather bracelets, $88 each and Silver and gold ring, $998, all from Tangs Orchard. Faux leather sandal heels, $73 from Pedro.

This is how Dzojchen’s creative director and founder Chelsea Scott-Blackhall does sexy. Think an androgynous tailored suit and a sexy silk vest for one look; then a regal gold brocade shirt paired with a leather skirt in another. Super chic, for the stylish woman in charge.
On Nadia: Brocade blazer, silk vest and brocade pants, price unavailable, from Dzojchen.

On Grace: Brocade shirt, silk top and leather skirt, price unavailable, from Dzojchen.

Singapore designer Sabrina Goh does architecturally-inspired pieces that make you do a double-take, as with the unusual mullet skirt that Grace is wearing. This season the youthful look is well done without being too schoolgirl cute with its apron-like dress and pleated skirt.
On Nadia: Elohim by Sabrina Goh neoprene dress, $229.90 from Sabrina Goh. Stainless steel and silver bracelet, from Marilyn Tan.
On Grace: Elohim by Sabrina Goh polyester blend top, $139.90 and Elohim by Sabrina Goh neoprene skirt, $179.90 both from Sabrina Goh. Ling Wu snakeskin and calf leather bag, $1,080 from Tangs Orchard. Silver necklace and pendant, $289 from Marilyn Tan. Melissa polyester boots, $156 from MDreams.

If black and white pieces form most of your wardrobe, then you’ll love this collection’s lack of colour. The Fall Winter 2015 line from local label Exhibit (co-founders Yoyo Cao and Angie Chia also run a multi-label boutique of the same name) does minimalist chic with comfortably loose-fit staples and fun details like pom poms, layers of sporty netting and tulle on dresses and separates.

On Grace: Tulle and mesh dress, price unavailable from Exhibit Alt by Curated Editions silver plated rings, from $107.56 each from Curated Editions. Canvas sneakers, $89 from Vans.
On Nadia: Polyester blend crop top and skirt, price unavailable from Exhibit. Alt by Curated Editions brass cuff, price unavailable from Curated Editions. Canvas sneakers, $69 from Vans.

Social influencer Velda Tan @belluspuera shows that she knows what the working woman wants with her new fashion brand, Collate The Label. Besides the must-have office dress, you’ll find easy-to-match pieces you can layer on top of one another; like this curved hem dress with matching white pants, as seen on Nadia. Unsurprisingly, her label is already proving to be a hit with many office ladies!
On Nadia: Polyester blend dress, $159 and polyester blend pants, $189, both from Collate The Label. Shoes, stylist’s own. Marilyn Tan gold and silver bangles, $98 each from Tangs.

On Grace: Rayon blend dress, $239 from Collate The Label. Marilyn Tan gold rings, $350 each from Tangs. Carrie K leather and stainless steel bracelets, $150 each from She Shops The Online Store. Faux leather sneakers, $63.90 from Charles and Keith.
