Television host Dee Hsu asked: “Does Jay Chou snore when he sleeps?”

“I haven’t heard it,” answered the future Mrs Chou, model Hannah Quinlivan, before she understood she had been tricked into talking about spending the night with the pop king.

Hsu’s co-host Kevin Tsai quickly smoothed away any awkwardness by saying: “They’re getting married, this is normal.”

And that was as far as journalistic coups went, when Quinlivan, 21, went on talk show Mr Con & Ms Csi on Wednesday, her first appearance two days after Chou, 35, officially introduced her as his other half on social media. He has said he plans to be married before he turns 36.

Tsai said Chou had called him from Hong Kong, asking him to go easy on Quinlivan, reported China Times.

“He wanted me to take care of her,” Tsai said. “If we ask her questions she can’t answer, we can push them to him.”

His co-host did not miss a chance to tease the model, however.

A blushing Quinlivan revealed that the nickname she uses for Chou is Chou-chou, and Hsu asked the model, who goes by Kun Ling in Mandarin: “What does Jay Chou call you? Kun-kun? Or Ling-ling?”

Other ground covered: Quinlivan likes making desserts, and Chou likes eating them. When he cooks, she stays beside him and cuts vegetables.

She also talked about the first time they held hands, said China Times. It was at a horror movie and she was shielding her eyes with her hands. That was when Chou pulled her hands down and held them, she said, drawing screams from the show’s crew.
