We review mineral foundations

The foundation works well in evening out my skin tone, resulting in a natural-looking finish. I don’t need to reapply it despite the humidity. It feels light and comfortable and is quite easy to put on with the sponge applicator, except around the nose. I feel as if I’m not wearing any foundation.

This offers medium coverage. Once layered over a base, the coverage improves tremendously without looking too powdery. The silky smooth, light and moisturising effect lasts all day. It gives a soft-focus, matte finish so I look like I’ve good skin! The oil control is good so my skin looks dewy, not oily.

This covers some of the brown spots on my cheeks and makes my face look smoother. It also lasts almost 10 hours without touch-ups. I love that it is fragrance- and preservative-free. The foundation glides on smoothly and my skin appears natural yet luminous.

This provides excellent coverage, even on redder areas, so I do not have to pile on too much of it. Even after more than 10 hours, I do not have to reapply it as the makeup looks fresh. It is easy to remove and my skin feels smooth afterwards.

The sheer texture gives a natural coverage. It reduces the appearance of pores but not quite the redness. The foundation is relatively long-lasting and does not cake but is not very mattifying. I like that it has antibacterial and healing properties, which is great for sensitive skin.
