Dame Vivienne Westwood believes the Duchess of Cambridge has “a problem” with eye makeup.
The British fashion designer is renowned for her eccentric creations and her honest approach when it comes to style. The iconic clothes creator, 70, who has been in the fashion industry for around 40 years, says Catherine needs to reassess her cosmetic choices when it comes to her signature dark eyeliner.
"I think she’s got a problem with eye makeup!" she told the Sunday Times magazine.
"The sharp line around her eyes makes her look hard. Either she should be smudgy or wear none."
Catherine, 29, who married Britain’s Prince William earlier this year, is a stunning beauty and regularly sports a glowing natural base with nude lips and a more dramatic eye make-up look. The brunette, who is regularly praised for her elegant fashion choices, has seemingly failed to impress Vivienne, who says the royal’s sense of style is too bland.
"Let me put it this way. It seems to me, that her image is ‘ordinary woman’. Therefore, high street shopper,” she mused.
