‘Tis (almost) the season to be jolly and many of you will be thinking of heading overseas for a winter holiday, if you can.
But once you’re there, don’t forget that the chilly weather could see you battling parched skin. You need to change to a “winter beauty regime” to ensure you look your best for the festive season.
But thanks to a range of moisture-rich foundations, you can wave goodbye to flaky skin and welcome back that flawless glow you rocked all summer.
Celebrity make-up artist Adam Burrell – who has worked with a whole host of A-listers – revealed: “To get that glow that doesn’t come quite as naturally in winter months as it does in the summer I like to use foundations that are creamy and give a nice glow.”
Make sure you exfoliate your skin regularly and treat yourself to a moisture-rich night cream which will work it’s magic while you sleep.
And look for products enriched with moisturiser and SPF, which will protect your skin from the ravages of the elements.
Here are three of Adam’s favourite winter wonder foundations:
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua
A favourite of mine all year round but especially in cold months as it makes the skin look amazing, giving it a lovely glow. It’s a perfect foundation to perk up dull winter skin.
Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation
This is a great base for winter, especially if you like a lightweight base that gives good coverage whilst balancing your skin’s moisture levels.
Bobbi Brown Luminous Moisturizing Foundation
This is a foundation I come back to in the winter, time and time again, as it does everything is says on the tin.
