The one beauty staple we must all have besides eyeliner? A product that helps to shape and fill in our eyebrows.

But much like eyeliner, eyebrow products now come in a wide variety of types, including pencils, gels, mascaras and powders. While all of them do the same thing – that is, give you model worthy brows – some may best be suited for a certain type of eyebrows.

To decipher this, we asked makeup artist Dollei Seah for some advice. Her top favourite? An eyebrow pencil. But she sometimes chooses a powder for a natural look, or a gel, for a long-lasting finish if she’s working on someone.
