Layering skincare products is all the rage right now and in our humid weather, the last thing I want is for my serums and creams to just sit on my skin and make it feel sticky, instead of sinking in quickly. So, I always prep my skin with a hydrating and softening lotion such as Sisley Sisleya Essential Skin Care Lotion straight after cleansing.

Packaged in a sleek white and gold pump bottle, the lotion feels similar to a lightweight, fluid moisturiser. It is packed with natural plant extracts, and smells of rose and orange blossom – very relaxing. I gently pat one pump of the lotion onto my entire face, and another pump onto my neck and decolletage.

Unlike other thick-textured products that promise similar results but leave a sticky veil on the skin, this one sinks right in. Instantly (in literally two seconds), my complexion looks brighter and feels smoother – which makes this lotion great for ridding dullness in the morning. Most importantly, all three of the serums and creams that I apply after this lotion absorb completely without pilling. My makeup also glides on more easily. After a month’s use, my skin looks supple and radiant.
