Don’t panic, but Halloween is less than a week away. You have no idea where time went, how it crept up on you so fast or what you’re going to do about it.

With a costume party on Saturday and festivities running throughout the week, you’re in desperate need of a Halloween makeup look that’s both chic and easy to achieve. There are only so many times you can be a vampire or a cat.

If you’re not sure what you’re going as this Halloween, take a page from supermodel Bella Hadid’s book. We’re used to seeing Bella sport feminine and soft makeup looks, but a new collaboration with French beauty brand Dior has the model embracing the scariest season of the year.

Dior Makeup Creative and Image Director, Peter Philips, created three dark, ghoulish, and totally beguiling Halloween makeup looks with varying levels of intensity using products that you probably already have in your beauty arsenal.

Look 1: The Classic Vamp

The first look pays homage to the brand’s iconic dangerous, bold and sexy red lipstick, the Rouge Dior 999. In the video, Bella pairs the crimson red lip with black eyeliner and red nails.

Probably the most versatile look of the three, this look can be recreated for a number of costumes inspired by diabolical villains. To set your lip colour, gently dust translucent loose powder with a foundation brush.

Look 2: Fevered Red

In the following scene, Bella adds intensity to her look by applying the Dior Rouge Blush 999 on the hollows of her cheeks.

This technique of sweeping blush underneath the cheekbones (where your contour would go) – creates a parallel line to the jawline and brings focus to the heights of the cheekbone, creating the illusion of a more sculpted face.

Bella also added a liquid twist to her retro cat eye repertoire by extending the eyeliner into a featherlight downward “fishtail-esque” flick.

Look 3: The Third Eye

In the finale, the model reveals the most intricate look, “The Dream.” The focal point that completes her deep crimson lip and red eyeshadow look is its accompanying geometrical shapes. The shapes are created with Dior’s On Stage Liner in 001 Matte White and 091 Matte Black.

The elaborate pattern makes the eyes the focal point. If you’re copping Bella’s look, don’t try and do everything at once, lightly outline and sketch out the shapes first with a kohl liner – then when you’ve perfected it (don’t be afraid to use a makeup remover and q-tip  to sharpen any lines or remove mishaps) then go in with a gel or liquid liner to intensify. Shade in the shapes created with your white pencil liner.

It ends with the addition of a third eye on her forehead. This look is not for the faint of heart, but it’s a fun thing to wear for a day like Halloween.

Get inspired by Bella’s Halloween makeup and watch the video above, if you dare.
