When it comes to skincare, we’re all guilty of being lazy, I mean, too busy every now and then, and sometimes end up skipping the application some products just to save time and energy.

One way to solve that problem and ensure that you apply your beauty products diligently is to pick up spray-on products. This will definitely help you save time on application, as you just need to uncap and spritz on, and probably just do a little spreading, or blending.

We’ve rounded up handy spray-on products that will make applying your foundation, face sunscreen, body moisturisers and face hydrators a whole lot easier.

Spray-on foundations

Dior Diorskin Air Flash Spray Foundation, $92; Era Everyday Aerobrush Spray On Foundation, US$33, available at www.erabeautyusa.comNapoleon Perdis Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation, AUD$69, available at napoleonperdis.com

Hold these cans a few centimeters away from your face, close your eyes tightly and spritz. They deposit a lightweight liquid foundation on your skin, which will require a bit of blending. The plus point is that the sprays would already spread the product out a bit so there’s less blending time involved. Tip: Spritz lightly on five main areas – forehead, both cheeks, nose, and chin, then blend with a foundation brush or sponge for the best effect.

Spray-on face sunscreens

Supergoop Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50, $18; DrGL DrGL Sun Protection Mist, $88; Bioderma Hydrabio 2-in-1 Moisturising Anti-UV Mist SPF 30, $19.90

Most women find applying face sunscreen a pain simply because we would probably have layered on other skincare products before that. Toner, serum, moisturiser… it does tend to feel like one step too many by the time you get to sunscreen. So a spray-on sunscreen makes so much sense. Just close your eyes and spray on a layer of skin protecting SPF before you head out the door. And it is useful for topping up your sun protection during the day too.

Spray-on body moisturisers

Palmer’s Stretch Mark Spray Lotion, $29.90 from Redmart; Bath and Bodyworks Ahhh-loe Spray Lotion, $16.50; Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturiser Advanced Strength, $11.90

The skin on our bodies is often neglected, compared to our face. Many of us have body moisturisers but just take ages to use them up because sometimes just the thought of taking out the bottle and applying it all over your body with your hands is just too tedious. Cue these spray on body moisturisers that are dispensed as liquid lotions, already dispersed as a mist so that minimal spreading is required.

Spray-on face moisturisers

SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence, $93; Skin Inc Pure Serum Mist, $30; Saturday Skin Daily Dew Hydrating Essence Mist, $48

We’re not talking about face mists here. These are more power-packed with liquidy essences and serums, not just water. Spritz them on like you would a serum and let it all infuse into your skin. If your skin is on the oily side, you may even be able to do without an additional moisturiser.
