The days of regular skincare ads are over.
Unless you live under a rock, you know cult favourite skincare brand SK-II recently roped in Chloe Grace Moretz and James Corden to create an exciting web series that is evolving the skincare conversation, bringing realness and entertainment to our screens.
Available on YouTube, Bare Skin Chat is a series of bite-sized episodes that follows James Corden on a hilarious journey as he learns how to use Facial Treatment Essence – also known as Pitera Essence – to achieve flawless skin with the help of Chloe Grace Moretz.
The first episodes are already out, and our favorite one yet has just dropped!
Check it out below and watch as the host of “Carpool Karaoke” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden”, is finally ready to try on Facial Treatment Essence and learn the ‘Pat Pat’ routine with a twist! – seriously, you have to watch it to find out!
Probably this was our hundred-ish how-to video in our lives but honestly, it’s very refreshing the fact that it’s done in a very light, fun and enjoyable manner. In case you got distracted with all the dancing and missed the steps, here’s the recap:
- Pour SK-II Facial Treatment Essence into palm
- Smooth over your entire face and neck ensuring even coverage
- PAT PAT PAT *GENTLY* until fully absorbed
Just as the above-mentioned straightforward steps, we truly love the the simplicity of the message of this campaign: Pitera Essence is all you need for Crystal Clear skin.
None of that fancy schmancy 10-step routine; but why is it so?
Simply because this “Miracle Water” (as commonly known in Asia) is legendary for its transformative powers. It is true that anyone who has tried it just swears by the product, claiming that their skin is so much better than before.
Watching the Bare Skin Chat video was a timely reminder for us to take a step back and consider our #shelfie situations. Do we really need upwards of 20 products for just one face? It’s easy to get caught up with always wanting the latest products that promise to work miracles. However, just one bottle of essence is enough in this case. Hey, if it works for Chloe Grace Moretz, it’s good enough for us! Plus, the inclusion of a male comedian in a skincare campaign was also a pleasant surprise. It was hilarious, and reminded me that beauty should be fun.
New episodes of the Bare Skin Chat will be coming out every other week, so don’t forget to subscribe to the SK-II YouTube Channel for updates!
