PHYSIOGEL SPECIAL

1

We can develop dry skin over time

The majority of us who work in offices or sleep in air-conditioned rooms at night, for instance, will find that the outer layer of our skin loses a lot of water over the course of the day or night. Drinking water alone cannot compensate for our skin’s dehydration.

2

There are several factors that affect our skin’s moisture barrier

Internal factors like your genetics (getting increasingly dry skin as you get older is unfunnily a thing), or hormonal changes, as well as external ones like the environment or your lifestyle all play a role in the health of your skin. If you’re stressed, drink lots of alcohol, or smoke, you’re also more likely to have dehydrated skin.

3

Skin sensitivity can happen to anyone

Dehydrated skin and a damaged skin moisture barrier can also trigger skin irritation or sensitivity, such as feeling skin tightness and getting red easily in the sun. To prevent that, it is important to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Moisturizing keeps your skin healthy, hydrated and protects your skin moisture barrier. It may be an extra step to your skin care routine, but your skin will thank you in the long run.

4

A great moisturiser is a necessity

Physiogel’s Daily Moisture Therapy range has brought much-needed relief to my skin, and is especially crucial when I travel to a cold or dry country. The Daily Moisture Therapy range promises up to 72 hours* of hydration for your skin with a single application.

*Refers to Daily Moisture Therapy Cream and Daily Moisture Therapy Intensive Cream. With continuous application twice a day for 28 days.

A bonus beauty tip:

At the end of the week, give your skin a replenishing dose of hydration. You can apply the cream moisturizer on your face and body, or slather it on your face as a mask for 30 minutes. Physiogel’s products are hypoallergenic and noncomdogenic, which means they won’t clog your pores.

For such a hydrating range, the creams are surprisingly lightweight and non-greasy. I have very dry legs and elbows, and find myself reaching for the cream in the middle of the day. It absorbs really fast due to a patented BioMimic technology that mimics the lipids in our skin, and doesn’t leave my hands feeling sticky which lets me get right back to whatever I was typing before.
