Rituals Wu Wei Cream Bath
In today’s rushed society most of us long for a little rest and relaxation.

We no longer wish for tea time, but for ‘me-time,’ and the first thing on our wish list is another few hours to every day, or at least a visit to the spa. If only…

Instead of spending the weekend at an expensive resort you can create your own at-home spa.

With the right products and as little as 20 minutes to yourself, you can create a moment that will help you put up with your stressful life better.

Here is how.

1. Put a do not disturb sign on the outside of the bathroom door and lock it from the inside.

2. Light a scented candle. Voluspa, Cire Trudon, Le Labo and Diptyque all have luxurious fragrances to choose from. Santal 26 from Le Labo is a favourite.

3. Pour yourself a glass of your choice – ice tea works as well as prosecco.

4. Pour yourself a bath and add a beauty product of your liking. Bath salt has been created to mimic the properties of natural mineral baths or hot springs. Bath bombs and bath fizzies create an almost carbonated sensation. Bath soap creates a sensual lather. Do try Fairy Jasmine Bath Bomb from Lush Handmade Cosmetics for flowery fizz or Wu Wei Cream Bath from Rituals for fluffy foam.

5. Relax by breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. Try to do slow, steady breaths.

6. When getting out of the bath, pat yourself dry with a towel. Leave skin a little bit damp. Massage your body with a leave-in product, such as Decléor Intense Relaxing Massage Balm that melts into skin leaving it soft and rehydrated.

7. Get dressed in your own time. When you are done, blow out the candle as a signal to yourself that your own bath ritual has finished. © Cover Media
