When Lancome introduced the Advanced Genifique Yeux Light-Pearl in 2012, it gave us a product powerful enough to fight fine lines and sagging in the eye area, as well as minimise the appearance of eye bags and dark circles, in an easily-absorbed consistency. It also gave us a flexible applicator that precisely targeted the delicate eye area without tugging on the skin.
The 2019 version, Advanced Genifique Yeux Light-pearl Eye & Lash Concentrate ($120), does everything the previous formula did, plus a few extras. It includes ingredients that condition the skin and reduce inflammation. It is also intended to strengthen lashes so they’re less likely to break or fall off.
Apply it on the eye contours, then lightly dab some over the lash line. It is gentle and non-irritating, and like the original, is quickly absorbed so you don’t have to wait to apply your eye makeup.

Best for: Those who struggle with clumpy lashes
Lash care ingredient: Hydrating Polysaccharide
Our review: You’re probably wondering why this mascara wand looks different from the regular wands you use. Well, the brush is made specifically for those who struggle with lashes that clump together as it helps to catch the lashes from the root and separate them for a thicker and more voluminous look.
Bonus: this lengthening mascara is also smudge-proof and has a comfortable formula that lasts all day – no touch-ups required.
Best for: Getting a dramatic curve without having to use an eyelash curler.
Lash care ingredient: Palmitic acid
Our review: What we really love about this mascara is the lift that it gives.
You don’t need too much curling before because the brush really grips the lashes at the roots and lifts them.
