Between dull skin and dark spots, brightening skincare is becoming increasingly important to us in Singapore, especially with the amount of sun exposure we get all year round. If you’re on the hunt for new skincare products to brighten your skin and deal with dullness or dark spots, we’ve got a list of five new launches in January and February to give your skin some much-needed radiance.

#1 Shiseido White Lucent Microtargeting Spot Corrector, $155

The hero product from Shiseido’s new White Lucent range is all about boosting the luminosity of your skin. This serum is said to be able to target the tiny deposits of melanin distributed throughout the skin.

The range contains a complex that their researchers have dubbed SakuraResist technology, based on a sakura flower extract that helps your skin to resist signals sent from external aggressors like UV exposure and stress to reduce spot production.

The Shiseido White Lucent range is available islandwide.

#2 Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque

brightening skincare singapore Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque

Harnessing the benefits of turmeric and cranberry, this mask from Kiehl’s promises to brighten and energise dull and fatigued skin through an “instant facial”.

Turmeric is known to be incredibly good for your insides (some people drink it mixed into water daily to aid digestion), but has also been used for centuries as a natural cleanser due to its strong antioxidant, antiseptic and sebum balancing properties.

The crushed cranberry (also rich in antioxidants) in the face mask also helps exfoliate the skin when rinsing off the mask, leaving your face smoother and brighter.

The Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque, $49, will be available in February 2016.

#3 Innisfree Orchid Enriched Essence, price unavailable

The Orchid Enriched Essence in particular is a rich essence that contains Jeju Orchid extracts and oatmeal, and is meant to wrap the skin with a nourishing fine film.

The new Orchid Line products will be available from February 2016.
