#1 SKIP PEAK HOURS.
Skip the weekends and go during weekday mornings. You don’t want to be rushed around in high-traffic locker and waiting rooms or be attended by a time-pressed therapist.

#2 ORDER LIKE A PRO.
If you’re doing many treatments – facial, body and manicure – in a day, bear in the mind the order of the treatments.

Do the body treatment first, then the facial and lastly the manicure.

You don’t want to destroy your fresh manicure by a hand massage, or have your face squashed in the face cradle when your back is being scrubbed.

#3 PLAN YOUR APPOINTMENTS WISELY.
Your skin gets more sensitive when you are having your period, so avoid any likelihood of discomfort by scheduling treatments that involve friction or some level of pain like a Brazilian wax, threading, body scrub or face peel two weeks before or after your period.

#4 BE FEARLESS.
Most respectable spas and beauty salons will politely accept your decision if you don’t want to purchase a spa package.

However, we have heard of occasions where customers get locked in a room for package discussions – don’t panic and get pressured into buying something you don’t want.

Keep your mobile phone with you (after your treatment), and call for help if things get out of hand.
