Sinead Kelly shares how you can get styled like a star - Kimberly Wyatt Stylist to the stars Sinead Kelly has revealed her top hair trends for the coming season.

The hair expert, who boasts her own plush salon in south London, is trusted with the tresses of gorgeous singer Kimberly Wyatt (pictured left).

Sinead knows a thing or two about the latest hair fashions and has explained what will be hot over the winter period.

“You can’t go wrong with a top knot, whether it’s messy or classically neat, it will get you through after work drinks, Christmas parties, crisp fall weddings or even a special date!” she told Cover Media.

“Comb your hair into a high ponytail and secure, then back comb from your root to the ends of your hair to create some texture. Use a doughnut sponge and pull your pony through the hole.

“Finally let your hair fall over the sponge, take sections to wrap around the doughnut and secure with kirby grips. Depending on what look you want, messy or classic neat, use hairspray or shine spray to secure and set.”

Sinead is inspired by past eras. The beauty guru says 70s tumbling barrel waves are set to be a big hit for the festive season.

“Pre wash your hair and rough dry using a paddle brush, this will help keep your natural fluffiness for volume and texture. I always recommend using a four step sectioning technique, use some clips to neatly separate your hair into four clear sections.

“This helps you create the look faster and gives consistency with your waves. Firstly, work from just below ear to ear. Your second section should be from just above ear to ear. The third section should be from temple to temple, and the fourth and final section should be from the crown to the front hairline,” she explained.

“Taking two inch sections, hold the barrel tong horizontally from the middle and roll to the ends for a soft barrel wave. Hold for 30 seconds then unwind and leave.

“Never touch the hair while still hot as you will pull out the wave, the hair will have not yet cooled and set. Repeat this all over. When finished use a small bristle brush, brushing very softly to break up to the waves to create a natural look.”

Sinead celebrated the phenomenal success of her Barnes, London, salon with her star clients and friends, in a star-studded bash on October 18.

Former Pussycat Doll star Kimberly, who attended the event, said the celebrity stylist is her go-to beauty guru. “She is my secret weapon, I love her,” she exclaimed. © COVER MEDIA
