The newest Maybelline Colour Sensational Loaded Bolds lipsticks are marketed to be loud, daring and ultra intensive. The lipstick claims to give a hyperpigmentation with a single stroke, giving a creamy and opaque finish. Hmmm…sounding too good to be true? There’s only one way to find out! We decided to test them out with a 12 hour test, to see if it really lives up to its name.

First, we had to test out the one-stroke wonder.

And true enough, the colour payoff is amazing with just one stroke. Keep your grip steady and brush over your lip with precision, you won’t even have to layer on the second time. For all the busy ladies out there, we think Maybelline’s Colour Sensational Loaded Bolds lipsticks are your answer.

Second, yes it is indeed ultra long lasting because one stroke goes a pretty long way. The colours remain on, retaining its boldness even after a meal. Even better? We applied it on right before dinner and it lasted all the way till after cocktail hour, so that’s a solid eight hours right there. And, there wasn’t a need to touch up at all throughout the night. Plus, it remains moisturising and creamy throughout — all that colour without the drying factor of a matte lipstick, score!
