WHAT: Functioning as three products in one, this multi-action formula provides cleaning, long wear makeup removal and toning benefits. This cleanser is suitable for all skin types and is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested. According to Estee Lauder, the formula starts working as soon as it touches your skin, melting away makeup and gently removing impurities.

Key ingredients include blue algae for its vitamins and minerals, zinc PCA for hydration and milk thistle for its detoxification and moisturising properties.

The Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Triple Action Cleanser retails for $50 at Estee Lauder counters in Isetan and Metro department stores. Get more information from http://www.esteelauder.com.sg and Estee Lauder’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/EsteeLauderSG.

REVIEW: When I have to remove my makeup at the end of the night, I lug a minimum of four bottles into the bathroom – namely my makeup remover, eye makeup remover, cleanser and toner, not to mention a number of cotton balls. This is the hassle that Estee Lauder’s Triple Action Cleanser has saved for me, but what is more important to find out is how well it works.

The cleanser is in a liquid form in the bottle but after passing through the push nozzle, it becomes a nicely bubbled foam. The foam is light and airy but once it is in contact with the skin, it transforms into an oil-based cleanser. For a moment there I was doubtful that such a thin film of cleanser from a handful of foam could soak up and remove my makeup, but I was proven wrong.

Although I could not test the product on waterproof mascara as it is not for use near the eye area, this triple action cleanser works well to remove longwear lipstick. After massaging the formula onto my entire face for less than a minute, I managed to rinse off all the makeup with a few splashes of water.

I even tested for residue makeup with a wet cotton ball after that, but there was none to be found. My skin was “perfectly clean” and I used less than half the time I normally take for removing makeup.

My only gripe with the product is the toner part of it. Having a toner in a cleanser means I could not control the amount I needed and at different spots of my face where I needed it (more at the oily T-zone and less elsewhere). My cheeks were slightly dry after using the cleanser for a week.

All in all, this cleanser is great for fast, painless makeup removal because you can rinse and sleep without worrying that makeup will clog your pores. However, if toner control is an important part of your beauty regime, you might want to try a dedicated cleanser instead.
