South Korean beauty mogul Pony has done it again. With 6.4 million followers on Instagram, and over five million subscribers on YouTube – we can’t help wonder, how does she consistently put out product that sits well with all her fans?

Some things we’ll never know. But no matter, because Pony’s went and created the palette of our millennial dreams with Etude House – a pink fantasy that we can’t quite seem to peel our eyes off.

Be still, our beating hearts. The Rose Bomb Play Colour Eye Palette is a nifty palette of 15 shades, with hues of pink, lilac and rose gold. It’s Pony in a palette, in all her pretty-in-pink glory. The beauty influencer co-created these shades with Etude House, and chose rose as the theme for her creation and curation.

Rose is a “universally flattering” colour to her, and is more fun than well, just brown. The palette, true to its name, is an explosion of rosy and dreamy vibes – and most importantly, it’s ready-to-wear. It’s a versatile palette that’s not daunting, nor does it require a certain level of makeup mastery to sport. There are mattes, satin, shimmer and glitter finishes that’ll take you from day to night.

But wait – that’s not all that Etude House has to offer. The other Play Colour Eye Palette – Best Loved – is a curation of the best-selling single shades from the brand’s Look At My Eyes range. There are 15 of the most popular, most wearable and most sought-after colours in one palette, ranging from brown, burgundy and even a pop of coral.

Our resident beauty writer Chelsea just had to try both offerings. It’s Pony, after all – and if this beauty girl has the Midas touch that makes products go OOS in a finger snap… we want in. Chelsea created a day and a night look with the Rose Bomb and Best Loved palettes ones respectively.

Peep her looks below:

Romantic day look with Rose Bomb palette

“The mauve-y tones in this pink palette makes it very useful for daytime looks. Instead of the usual cool-toned brown or warm coffee brown, Pony has the shade “Antique Rose” (seond row, second from left) that makes for an equally wearable, yet unconventional over-the-lid shade. Just that one colour is enough if you’re gunning for a quick look – if not, adding in “Lilac Rose” (first row, first from left) into the crease creates a romantic vibe. Don’t fret too much about using purples, this shade applies sheer, so you’re able to maniplulate its intensity to your liking.”

Night time glam with Best Loved palette

“At first glance, the Best Loved palette looks just like any regular every day palette, with its brown and gold tones. I wanted to challenge its versatility by creating a night-time look with it – and it definitely delivered. “Purple Dress” (last row, second from right) makes for a lovely outer-inner corner shade, to create a smokey eye effect. Any shimmer colour in the palette – there are five – would work as a lid/ or “point” shade, but I went with “Coffee To Go” (second row, first from right) in the centre, and topped it off with “Muscle Mania” (second row, second from right) for an amplified shimmer effect.”

The Rose Bomb and Best Loved palettes cost $43.90 each. They are available from Jul 1 at Etude House outlets islandwide, and online on Shopee. Both palettes will also be stocked online on Lazada from Jul 15.
