U.S Skincare brand Philosophy

U.S Skincare brand Philosophy

Sometimes all you need is hope and it is almost within reach; in a jar might I add, as U.S skincare brand Philosophy makes its way to Singapore this April. The brand which celebrates its sweet sixteenth this year, delivers medical inspired skincare products fused with emotive musings.

The brains behind the skincare brand, Cristina Carlino, also founded medically-based skincare line, Biomedic. The analogous science and medical technology has gone into the creation of Philosophy products bridging the gap between prescribed skincare and readily available products.

Its whimsical product packaging also delivers a unique experience. Adorned in clear text on the simplistic bottles are inspirational thoughts on life and love that can brighten up your day. Even the names of the products are delightful such as Falling in love, Laugh and Learn. Some even sound lip-smackingly good such as Vanilla Birthday Cake, Raspberry Sorbet and Brown Butter Cookie.

Here are some Philosophy fan favourites that you might come to love too.

Philosophy Hope in a Jar

Hope in a Jar

Philosophy is synonymous with this cult-favourite daily facial moisturiser for all skin types. If you’re a fan of Oprah Winfrey’s, you’ll know Hope in a Jar has made her Ultimate Favourite Things list more than once.

This moisturiser is said to hydrate, exfoliate and protect to give you softer, healthier and a more radiant skin.

A new addition to Philosophy is Hope in a Jar’s Oil-free Gel moisturiser, which was specially created for the Asian market for normal to oily skin.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 cleanser

Purity Made Simple

This lightweight, gel-lotion textured 3-in-1 cleanser is as its name suggests, cleansing made simple. It gently cleanses, tones and removes all face and eye makeup in one step.

Formulated with 12 essential oils, it not only helps to calm and smooth skin but personally I find that it smells great.

Philosophy Microdelivery Peel

The Microdelivery Peel

Though it works like a peel, this two-step, in-home skin rejuvenating peel has no down time. It is designed to be used weekly to not only exfoliate skin, but to also deliver vitamin C and peptides to replenish the skin.

Philosophy in Singapore will stock skincare, fragrances, bath and body, and gift collections. Makeup won’t be available just yet but we hear lip glosses are included in some gift sets.

Keep your eyes peeled, Philosophy will be in all Sephora stores in Singapore come April 27, 2012.
