I have a nightly beauty ritual that borders on being obsessive-compulsive. Regardless of how tired or late I come home, I have to complete my ritual. The only times I skipped a few steps was when I was really sick or hospitalised. It goes something like this:
- Drink a cup of honey water
Remove makeup - Wash my face with a cleanser (the type depends on my skin’s condition)
- Apply a mask (again depending on my skin’s condition)
- Wash off mask
- Apply toner
- Apply infusion/serum/essence (I usually apply two of the three)
- Apply moisturiser
- Apply eye cream
- Apply lip balm
The whole process might take some time but I’ve been doing it for years. If people subscribe to ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’ practice, this is my ‘10 simple steps to keep bad skin away’ habit.
