Parfums Christian Dior has a new fragrance after a long wait of 20 years, and it promises to embody happiness.
Located at Changi’s Terminal 1 Departure Transit Hall, the pop-up was officially opened on September 12 with invited guests such as actress Rebecca Lim and singer-songwriter Nathan Hartono, and will run until October 12.
Joy by Dior marks “the beginning of a new era of fragrance at the House of Dior”, and was developed by Dior perfumer-creator François Demachy, who sought to capture the feeling of joy in a scent. A new declaration of love for life.
For this, there are no less than seven elegant interactive areas for travelers to be immersed in the Dior aesthetic.
Worldwide exclusive photobooth
Make a virtual splash thanks to an exclusive 'swimming pool' photobooth. The overhead camera captures your pool photo and you can either print it out on the spot, get the gif via email or QR code and share it on social media.
Worldwide exclusive makeup
Be sure to check out the Changi-exclusive Dior makeup here as it’s not available anywhere else in the world. Extremely limited edition, only 100 pieces of each are on sale.
There’s an engraving artist stationed at the engraving studio, to carve a name on any fragrance purchase, offering the luxury of personalisation. Great for an extra thoughtful gift.
Exclusive Joy bracelet
To complete your purchase, you can choose from the range of pastel ribbons and charms to create your own Joy bracelet, as a Changi-exclusive gift. After tying the bracelet on, it’s then finished off with a spritz of Joy so you can continue to sniff your wrist through your flight.
Virtual reality experience
The Dior Eyes, Dior’s virtual reality headset, offers an exceptional immersive 360° virtual reality experience to discover more about Dior’s unique perfume making craftsmanship.
Joy olfactive cabin
Elegantly engaging your senses, the Joy olfactive cabin has a starry night overhead with fragrance diffusers to delicately scent the space – a new way for travellers to discover and experience this fragrance.
“How does this fragrance make you feel?” The interactive wall poses this question, inviting you to answer on an iPad. Your answer is then projected onto a life-size screen together with all the other answers before.
Joy By Dior Pop-Up is at the transit area of Changi Airport Terminal 1 from now till October 12.
