We love a good multi-tasking product for how much time, money and storage space it saves us (not forgetting luggage weight when travelling). And if you’re not looking to spend a lot on your makeup, you want your products to really go the extra mile for you.
Nars Multiples are an iconic beauty product, and we daresay they’re the original multi-purpose makeup stick (most notably in Nars’ classic shade Orgasm). With monochromatic makeup looks remaining on-trend, there’s no better time to invest in one. You can use them as eyeshadow, on the cheeks or as lipstick, and they come in a big range of colours and finishes.
In fact, we’ve swatched all eight of the matte multiples below to give you an idea of the pigmentation, shade range and finish.
Shades (left to right): Altai, Vientiane, Cappadoce, Mauritanie, Laos, Anguilla, Exumas, Siam
These multiples blend like a dream and can be applied both wet and dry depending on how intense you want the colour payoff to be. That said, they will set you back about 60 dollars each, which can seem like a lot to pay for a makeup stick if you’re on a budget, though keeping in mind it’s still a three-in-one product.
Canadian beauty brand Nudestix has just launched its own multi-tasking makeup stick, the Nudies All Over Face Color, and it comes in both matte and glow finishes. It’s easier on the wallet at 45 dollars a pop, and it even comes with a blending brush on the other end so you don’t have to use your fingers to apply it if you’re on the go.
The five matte shades are gorgeous and creamy but can be blended out for something more natural looking. There are three shades in the Bronze + Glow range that are dazzling as highlighters or bronzers depending on your skin tone, and we love of course that the brand really does cater to every skin tone.
It’s hard to go wrong with a seemingly simple makeup stick that’s also handy enough to throw in your purse for touch-ups on the go. Already convinced? You can shop the full Nudestix range online at Sephora.sg, while the full Nars range is available at its flagship store in Ngee Ann City.
