Hurray to Asian pride! Hand-picked by Artistic Director Dick Page and Shiseido’s executives, international model Sui He has just been revealed as the new face of Shiseido.

According to the brand, the statuesque Chinese model was chosen for her alignment with the brand’s aesthetics.

“Sui He embodies Shiseido’s holistic sense of beauty – her look is both fresh and elegant, with a poise and subtlety of expression that give her a strong, creative and timeless quality. She seems to radiate a glow from within.” says Hiroshi Maruyama, General Manager of the International Marketing Department at Shiseido Co. Ltd.

Originally from Wenzhou, China, Sui has been making her mark on runways all around the world, after becoming the first Asian model to open for Ralph Lauren Fall/Winter in the 2011 season.

Since then, she has gone on to walk for famed designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Tom Ford, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta and more, in the world’s most fashionable cities like New York, London, Milan and Paris.

The highly sought-after model has also been tapped for campaigns like the recent H&M Autumn 2012 collection and has graced the covers of W and V magazine in recent years.

Artistic Director Dick Page describes Sui as “a beautiful woman, of course, but she is also graceful and intelligent with a sweet sense of humour. She wears her beauty lightly. She is a charming, and very welcome addition to the world of Shiseido. ”

Sui will front the Shiseido Makeup campaign globally as well as the White Lucent and Global Suncare campaigns in US, Japan and Asia starting in January 2013.

We can’t wait to see how those striking cheekbones and sharp features will fare under the care of one of the most well-established beauty brands in the industry.
