The first time South Korean actress caught our eye wasn’t when she played a quirky mermaid in “The Legend of the Blue Sea”; and nope, it also wasn’t when she played the love interest of Kim Soo Hyun in “My Love from the Star.” You might not remember her in this, but the beautiful actress first caught our attention in the 2001 box office hit, “My Sassy Girl”. Ji-Hyun is widely known for taking on diverse roles convincingly in the 17 years since that film was made.

Ji-Hyun, who is the muse and ambassador of the South Korean cosmetics brand HERA owned by Korean beauty giant Amorepacific, spoke to the media at the opening of the brand’s first flagship store in Singapore at Ion Orchard on Friday (5 October 2018). When asked about her youthful looks, the 37-year-old Hallyu star attributes her translucent and radiant skin to proper facial cleansing, a healthy lifestyle and making sure she gets enough rest.

The former model who towers at 173cm, also stressed the importance of choosing the right products suited for your skin type. In addition to creams and essences, one of Ji-Hyun’s favourite products from HERA is the UV Mist Cushion. “It emphasizes the luminosity of the skin and imparts a multi-dimensional glow to the skin so it catches light at every angle”, said Ji-Hyun.

Another of her most beloved products is the HERA Lip Gel Crush in #343 Naughty Berry. The actress revealed that it was the same colour she had on her lips for the latest HERA commercial and she loves it because it is “the perfect hue for wearing every day.” This lasting gel lippy has the shine of a gloss and the pigmentation of a cream lipstick, so your lips look both glossy and bold.

Careful not to give too much away, Ji-Hyun who gave birth to her second son earlier this year, teased that she is slated to appear in upcoming productions and shows sometime next year but is not able to reveal more for now.
