#1 Lancome Holiday L’Absolu Palette, $98
This incredibly sleek palette from Lancome has six beautiful and versatile shades that all work well together, whether you want a gold, taupe, or purple eye look. The palette also comes with three lip formulas: a hydrating base that doubles as a glossy top coat, a universal matte red, and a chic matte burgundy shade that you can even apply as a gradient lip!
#2 Tarte Light Of The Party Collector’s Makeup Case, $79
This zip-up palette is absolutely beautiful to look at. I am in love with every single one of the 30 eyeshadows in this palette. Firstly, the brush it comes with is amazing for blending out eyeshadow, and secondly it has a takeaway palette that holds six eyeshadows, a highlighter, bronzer and blush, that can be removed from the case and carried separately or closed to use as a mirror. Quite possibly the best value for money set this year.
#3 Bobbi Brown Deluxe Cheek & Eye Palette, $126
A palette of party-perfect nudes with some deep smoky shades. We love the mix of matte and shimmery eyeshadows! The blush duo gives you the option to keep things neutral or bright with a pop of pink!
#4 Givenchy La Palette Yeux Glacee, $105
The super elegant icy palette from Givenchy has surprisingly warm eyeshadows. This one is all about shine, with three iridescent shades and three matte ones. The rose shade makes a great transition colour between the icy white highlight shade and the warmer bronze and browns.
#5 Too Faced Le Grand Palais de Too Faced, $80
This is an all-in-one party prep palette. Aside from the eyeshadow primer, mascara and liquid lipstick, it’s got 18 beautiful shades of eyeshadow, two blushes, a bronzer and a highlighter. I was perhaps most impressed by the three larger eyeshadow shades at the top of the palette. Less worrying about hitting an empty pan on those wearable base colours!
#6 Stila A Whole Lot Of Love Gift Set, $82
I can’t get enough of how romantic the Stila holiday sets look. This one appears to be modeled after an old fashioned love letter and has a lovely diverse yet muted range of eyeshadow colours that are both pigmented and wearable. It even comes with a deluxe sized mascara and four blush shades.
#7 Yves Saint Laurent Beaute Kiss & Love Multi Usage Palette, $129
This holiday palette is all about sexy red lips and shimmering gold eyes. With eyeshadows, lip shades and a blush all in one palette, you’ve got all the makeup you’ll need for your festive look!
#8 Shu Uemura Beauty Remix Smokey Eye & Cheek Palette in Plum, $98
Does the bright orange blush shade freak you out? It’s nowhere near that bright or bold when swatched on the skin, and actually wears as a more peachy shade. This “East look” palette from Shu Uemura’s East meets West collection features a range of plummy eye shadows that pair beautifully with Asian skin tones.
#9 Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette, $88
It’s not just about going bright or bold with this palette. Sure, it’s got some amazing bright shades for an epic party look, but also has all the nudes you’ll need for your favourite everyday eye look.
#10 Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No. 20, $145
If this 20-shade palette looks daunting, fret not! The colours are grouped in columns to help you along! It has five distinct looks, but of course experimentation is always the most exciting part about having a large palette. I love the mix of warm and cool toned shades and the large number of neutrals. Almost every colour in this can be used to create a natural everyday makeup look.
