Look younger just by getting a haircutTurn back the clock this spring with a youth-boosting haircut.

A stylish snip can take years off and with so many fashion-forward styles to choose from, you’ll be sure to look as on-trends as you do young.

“If you have shorter hair, a side swept look can look so stylish and cool, knocking years off your look,” says award-winning hairdresser Lee Stafford.

“Wear a shorter style very naturally without looking like it has too much product in it otherwise this could have a mutton-dressed-as-lamb effect on your hair.

“Going for a short style to update your look is a great option for women who want to project a strong yet feminine image and spend less time managing their hair. Short hairstyles will really accentuate the eyes and jaw line too.”

Wrinkle-camouflaging fringes have long been lauded as the best style for a youth boost.

And Lee maintains that they’re not only a youthful look, they’re an on-trend option too.

“Fringes are great for giving you a new twist to your existing style and they can cover a multitude of sins whilst looking very really sexy at the same time,” he said.

“And textured waves is the style trend you should go for if you have longer hair that needs some oomph and shape putting back in. It is such a great look to create to give a more youthful appearance too as it has an expensive, healthy yet fashionable and sexy feel to it.”

And when it comes to styling, Lee says texture is key.

“Older women’s hair tends to become thin and loses shape and body so this look will help to bring your hair back to life.

“It is so simple to do when using a contemporary twist with a volumised messed up feel.”

The stylist advises using rollers, tongs and seal salt spray to create texture and waves.
